Fall ball is nearing for the Illini!

I have so missed watching Illinois baseball!

It won’t be long however, before we get a glimpse of the brand new 2024-25 version of the Illini team. They are scheduled to play two games next week.

Illinois will face off against the Great Lakes Canadians on September 26 at 6pm. On September 28, they will take on Indiana State at 12 noon.

Robinson was the keynote speaker at the Hot Stove Banquet in 2014

The Director of Operations of the Canadians is none other than former Illini catcher Chris Robinson who played here and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 2005.

And for current fans of the Illini, Indiana State should be very familiar. The two teams shared the Lexington Regional this spring along with Western Michigan and winner Kentucky. The Sycamores always bring a tough game and this will be a good test for our squad.

Check out the Illinois baseball roster which has now been updated with the changes. You will definitely see some new names on there.

Finally, I’ll leave you with some of my personal favorite photos from the 2024 season.

See you at the ballpark!
