Even during these times, Illini baseball head coach Dan Hartleb and his crew have been busy. Recruitment never takes a back seat. It was announced on Wednesday that a total of eight national letters of intent (NLIs) were signed by high school athletes to play for the University of Illinois baseball team.
These eight athletes include five position players and three pitchers.
Five of the recruits hail from the state of Illinois. Izaak Siefken comes all the way from Colorado. Calvin Shepherd is an import from Indiana as is Jared Comia. You should be familiar with that name. Jared is a cousin of current infielder Branden Comia.
