Justin Parr is really putting it together for the Rochester Honkers in the Northwoods League this summer. Last night, he extended his hitting streak to 21 games and did it in style. He went 4 for 5 in the Honkers’ 11-3 defeat of Alexandria and hit a homerun with four rbis.
That now raises Parr’s batting average up to .365 which ranks fifth in the Northwoods League. He now has seven homeruns for the summer.
Justin Parr wasn’t the only Illini having a good night on Thursday by the way. His twin brother Jordan went 2 for 4 with a double and two rbis. Not only that, Reid Roper also went 2 for 4 with a double and an rbi (boxscore)
Roper, who played second base and pitched out the bullpen for the Illini this past season is showing his versatility. In Thursday’s game, he played two different positions, first base and third base.
Nice!!
