While it was tough to see the Illini lose the home opener to Eastern Illinois on Tuesday, it was still great to see the guys back home for a game.
Cam McDonald had a good day at the plate. In fact, he scored both runs. In the third inning, he singled and eventually on a Danny Doligale base hit. In the fifth, he knocked the ball out of the park for his second homer of the year.
It was pitching by committee on Tuesday night. That said, Joseph Glassey put in a good outing.
In 2 2/3 innings, Glassey kept the Panthers hitless.
