We’re a month a half away from opening day and the college pundits are already chiming in with their preseason thoughts. One thing is for sure, Illini pitcher Cody Sedlock is not a well-kept secret. He has landed #36 on Baseball America’s Top 100 Draft Prospects. That puts the junior right hander at third best among all Big Ten players.

With four prime starters at Illinois in 2015 (all who are in the minors now), Cody Sedlock had to fight to find playing time as a sophomore. He did however go 4-0 with a 4.02 ERA and showed lots of promise especially towards the end of the season.
There is no doubt Sedlock will play heavily in Coach Hartleb’s pitching strategy in the 2016 season.
