Adam Christ to become assistant coach for Illinois baseball

I’ve come back from vacation and whoa, Illinois Baseball now has a new assistant coach!  That’s right, the University of Illinois has hired Adam Christ, formerly of Minnesota State, to work with the position players and serve as third base coach.

Christ (FYI, it’s pronounced like “list”) has spent seven years with the Minnesota State Mavericks.  He must have done something right.  In his time there, the Mavericks went an impressive 306-86.  That included seven NCAA tournament appearances and four outright Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference titles.

Welcome to the Fighting Illini, Adam Christ!

Every Illinois baseball season has its highlights and positive footnotes but this past year was an exceptional one.  The interns at FightingIllini.com took the time to document pretty much all of the awards, records, and highlights of the 2015 Illinois baseball season.  Be forewarned, it’s a long list!!
