With its sixth straight Big Ten sweep and 24 wins in a row, Illinois stakes its claim one of best teams in the country. They are ranked in the top 5 in all of the major polls. They are ranked as high as #2 by Collegiate Baseball and #3 by Perfect Game.
With an outpouring of offense, Illinois swept the Rutgers Scarlet Knights this past weekend including a dominating 28-13 victory on Sunday.
At 43-6-1, Illinois has the best winning record in the country and is tied with LSU for the most wins. Illinois’ 24 straight wins is the longest active winning streak in the nation and ties Texas A&M for the longest this season.
