There is still one more game left in the Illinois-Purdue series but the national polls wait for no one. Fortunately for the Illini, direction is still up. They are ranked as high as #11 by D1Baseball up one spot from last week. That’s as high as Illinois has been ranked in school history and ties the national ranking of the team from 1962.
The Illini (28-6-1) have won four games in the past week and are currently on a nine game winning streak.
