The fifth annual Jock Jams is scheduled for next week. On Tuesday, February 25th, student-athletes from the University of Illinois will be participating in a variety/talent show. It will be held at Huff Hall and tickets are only $5. Proceeds from the show will go towards the American Red Cross, Camp Kesem and the Wounded Warrior Project.

I attended last year’s Jock Jams last year and had a blast. It was a lot of fun (definitely worth the $5!) and it was good seeing Illini student-athletes outside of their element. Here are some of the photos I took at the 2013 Jock Jams.

In other news, the Big Ten announced conference baseball honors for the past weekend. Michael Pritchard of Nebraska won Player of the Week while Indiana’s Joey DeNato and Ryan Riga of Ohio State claimed Co-Pitcher of the Week. Michigan’s Jackson Lamb took Freshman of the Week honors.
