The Chicago Tribune has a feature article on recent draftee Matt Milroy. He’s now playing for the Jamestown (NY) Jammers, a Class A Miami Marlins affiliate.
“I’m staying busy working out, practicing every day, doing what I love to do,” Milroy said of his new routine. “It hasn’t been difficult at all for me to move away from home and transition to this career.”
Milroy is off to a rough start for the Jamestown Jammers, giving up five runs in five innings in two starts but I really do expect good things from Matt in the pros.
Also, note the credit on the photo used in the Tribune article. It was taken by Illini photographer and IBR friend Cary Frye!
Last night, Willie Argo roped two doubles for the Princeton Rays in their 10-6 win against the Bristol White Sox.
Argo has five hits and 3 doubles now in nine games for Princeton in the Rookie Appalachian League. He’s scored four runs and driven in three.
Good luck, guys!!
Thanks for taking the time to put this info together. Keep up the good work!
