The Bloomington Pantagraph has run a story on Ryan Nagle who has just signed a letter of intent with the University of Illinois. Nagle is a senior at Streator High School. Nagle stressed that education was a big part of his decision for his pick of Illinois over his other choices:
“It was just mainly the education. That was a big factor to me,” said Nagle, who is undecided on a major. “It was the baseball, too, but the education was the big part.”
That’s good because if I know Hartleb and the others in the program, they’re not going to let you slack off in your studies.
Nagle is a versatile player. His junior year, he started out at catcher then when needed, he moved to the shortstop position. For the year, he hit .459 with 8 homeruns and 41 rbis.
