Here’s some news on former Illini Christian Cummins. Cummins (left in his Illini days) who played for Illinois his freshman year transferred to John A. Logan College for his sophomore year and did pretty well. He hit .340 with 8 homeruns and 45 rbis.
Now, according to The Southern, he’ll now be transferring to occasional Illini opponent St Louis University.
“They needed a leadoff guy that could play different positions,” said Cummins, a second baseman who can also play the outfield. “I really liked the campus, and it’s only two hours away so my family can see me play a lot.”
Good luck, Christian!
