On the third and last day of the First-Year Player Draft, Willie Argo was chosen by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was chosen in 43rd round. He joins Adam Davis, Josh Parr and Corey Kimes (and Illini recruit Charlie Tilson) who were picked in Day 2.
