Josh Parr scores in the sixth
Everything went right and Illinois crushed Illinois State 14-2. This extends their winning streak to four games just before their Big Ten opener this weekend against Penn State.
John Anderson got his third win of the year but it was a committee of hurlers who really got the job done. Corey Kimes, Will Strack, Chris Pack and Wes Braun all got some work in.
Brandon Hohl contributed with the bat and the glove
Brandon Hohl really shined today. He drove in three runs and made some excellent plays in the field including a diving grab that made the Illini faithful cheer.
Fist bumps all around when Casey McMurray scores
The fifth and sixth innings were key for Illini. Between the two, Illinois scored ten runs and the game was pretty much sealed up and it was smooth sailing from then on.
