Big news for Illini’s shortstop! Brandon Wikoff has been named to the watch list for the Brooks Wallace Award. The Wallace Award is annually given to the nation’s best college shortstop.
Wikoff is the only Big Ten player to be named to the list and the winner will be awarded the trophy on July 2.

Right now, Wikoff is hitting .370 with 43 runs, 29 rbis. He has a .570 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .439. He has stolen 9 bases in 12 attempts.

Willie Argo is having a great season, the guy is a stud for a true freshman. I was really looking forward to seeing him in person next weekend. I guess i will have to wait till the Big Ten tourny to see #42 for the Illini in action.
