No doubt this weekend’s series with #27 Ohio State will be one of the most important of the year for the first place and #25 Illini. The University of Illinois Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is hoping to make it even more fun as they are planning a Bleacher Bum Barbeque to kick off the first game on Friday, May 8.
What’s involved?
- Free food for the first 1000 fans
- Free mini-bats given to the first 1000 students and children (courtesy of First Federal)
- Opportunities to enter drawings for tickets for Chicago Cubs tickets (oh yeah, another drawing for some St Louis Cardinals tickets too)
- A fireworks show at the end of the evening
