Note: The ISU-Illinois game on Tuesday has been postponed due to weather No make-up date has been scheduled yet.
After the all-important Big Ten opener last weekend which the Illini swept Michigan State, they are going on the road for one night and probably hoping for better weather. They’ll be playing Illinois State up in Normal which as they said where I’m from, is “just up a ways”.

Games #22 |
Record: 16-5 (3-0 Big Ten) |
vs Illinois State University Redbirds | at Duffy Bass Field, Normal, Il | |
March 31 | 4:30pm CT |
Illinois State is coached by Jim Brownlee who is in his 30th and according to ISU’s website, last year. He’s an ISU alum himself and quite a career he’s had. He’s accumulated 833 victories over his long career which ranks him in the top 40 for wins by a D-1 coach.
The scoop on ISU this year is that they rely on their pitching. They are leading the Missouri Valley Conference in ERA. Their top two starters, Maines and Copeland, are quite formidable.
